The Scholarship Program awards are for either scholastic or cultural endeavors. Academic grants are for the scholastic discipline in the secondary and above levels and are based on demonstrated community service and a research paper or essay, relative to some Scottish history.

 

Cultural, or artistic grants are based on the individuals demonstrated ability of talent, such as piping, drumming, fiddling, or dancing as they may pertain to Scotland.

 

These are usually for an intensified workshop and of short duration from a few weeks to a month.
